Edmonson County Schools will be in session Monday, Dec. 13th
EDMONSON COUNTY, Ky. – All Edmonson County Schools will be in session Monday, December 13, 2021.
All schools have power and all roads in Edmonson County are clear for bus routes.
“We understand some areas in the southern portion of our county are without power; however, we feel our students need normalcy and our South Edmonson students have already been out last week due to illness. We also think we can do more to serve our affected students with school being in session than we can by closing”, said Brian Alexander.
Additionally, should something be needed at home, students can tell personnel if school is in-session so they can help and assist students and their families.
They are also in contact with utility providers as they work to restore power in our county, and feel this situation can improve on a daily basis.
If you feel your child cannot attend school due to the impact of this situation, please contact your school tomorrow morning.
“One thing that makes Edmonson County different from other places is the compassion we have for one another, and for others in need. Those in our county that are suffering from this natural disaster are at the forefront of our concern at this time.”
“We also want to support our neighboring school districts, first responders, utility providers and all those working to put order back into the lives of so many. I have reached out to Bowling Green City Schools and Warren County Schools to offer any and all assistance I can give to
them at this critical time,” said Alexander.
