AT&T announces customer relief to those impacted by tornadoes
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – AT&T is announcing relief to customers impacted by the tornadoes. To assist customers in the Southeast and Midwest who have been impacted by recent severe storms and tornadoes, they are waiving overage charges to provide unlimited talk, text and data for AT&T Postpaid & PREPAID customers with billing addresses in zip codes across Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Illinois, and Missouri from Dec. 11 through Dec. 15.

Network Update
December 12, 2021, 2 p.m. CST
Our restoration efforts continue today following severe storms and tornadoes that impacted Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, and Mississippi. Late Saturday afternoon and overnight, the storm moved toward the East Coast, resulting in additional power outages across Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New York which we are closely monitoring. We have crews working diligently to deploy generators to impacted locations, and we also continue to work with local power companies to identify restoration of our critical facilities
We continue to make significant progress in restoring wireless service. Our wireless network is currently performing at 97% of normal in Kentucky and 99% of normal in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, New York, and Tennessee. Arkansas, Pennsylvania, and Mississippi are operating normally.
We have also seen improvement to our wireline network as our teams continue to assess damages and restore service.
To aid in the recovery efforts, we are supporting 14 FirstNet requests from public safety and have deployed a total of nine solutions in Kentucky, four in Tennessee, and 1 in Arkansas. Our teams and FirstNet liaisons continue to be in contact with federal, tribal, state and local officials on our deployment efforts to support public safety and the communities in impacted areas.
We will continue to closely monitor and respond to impacts from the storm and remain focused on keeping our customers, their families and first responders connected.
