JC Kirby & Son honors vets with Wreaths Across America event

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – On Saturday, JC Kirby & Son Funeral home on Lovers Lane held their annual Wreaths Across America event.

Nearly 80 volunteers showed to lay more than 500 wreaths on the headstones of veterans who have passed away. In the center of the cemetery, a wreath was laid out for the Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Marines and Air Force, as well as for those who were POW/MIA.

Kevin Kirby, owner of JC Kirby & Son, said that this event is important for the whole community, as it lets not just the veterans know but also the family members left behind that everybody is thankful for the actions and sacrifices that were made.

JC Kirby & Son is looking forward to see even more volunteers next year to honor our veterans.
