More arrest drama in front of the WNKY Chestnut Street studios

BOWLING GREEN, KY – Bowling Green police responded yesterday to a report of a collision that had resulted in injury at the intersection of Chestnut Street and East 10th Avenue. What began as an accident investigation turned into a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and wanton endangerment.

According to the arrest citation, Dylan Kendrick, 26, of Bowling Green indicated to the officer that as he was traveling on 10th Avenue toward Elm Street his automobile was struck in the rear right side after he disregarded a red traffic light and entered the intersection.

The arresting officer further noted in the citation that the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was obvious while speaking with Kendrick. A Field Sobriety test was conducted which indicated to the officer that there was some impairment. A breathalyzer test was conducted and confirmed the presence of alcohol. A blood sample was requested and received. After being medically cleared, Kendrick was transported and lodged at the Warren County Regional Jail.
