Glasgow man accused of threatening officers with a knife

GLASGOW, Ky. – One man was arrested  and charged with public intoxication after reportedly threatening officers with a knife, according to a news release.

Glasgow police officers responded to Glasgow Laundry Mat in reference to a complaint of a man with a knife.

According to the release, officers located Ronnie Elmore standing outside and holding a large knife and threatening people. Elmore then ran toward the officers with the knife raised in his hand, according to the release.

Police say he dropped the knife and was taken into custody.

Elmore was charged with public intoxication control substance (excluding alcohol), first degree assault, first degree wanton endangerment, menacing, resisting arrest, terroristic threatening and attempted escape.

He was taken to the Barren County Detention Center.
