Former WKU wide receiver Lucky Jackson signs with Minnesota Vikings

Bowling Green, KY. – Some massive news broke on Tuesday afternoon as former WKU star and Lexington native, Lucky Jackson signed with the Minnesota Vikings.

Jackson, a Lexington native, played his high school football at Lafayette High School.

Jackson tallied 2,680 receiving yards, with 209 catches, and 13 touchdowns in his four seasons on the Hill from 2016-2019.

Most recently, Jackson played in the XFL for the D.C. Defenders. The former Hilltopper finished the 2023 season fifth in the league in receiving yards with 573 and five touchdowns.

When chatting with Jackson about chasing his dreams, after a huge season with the Defenders, he said, “There’s gonna be multiple times where you might have doubt or your journey seems uncertain. But if you truly feel like you, you got something in the tank, man, and you got ball left, man, I would put 110% behind it. And I mean, you gotta put the work in. That’s what it comes down to, is being ready in case any opportunity comes.”

Jackson was also named to the All-XFL Offensive Team and was graded by Pro Football Focus as the number one receiver in the XFL this past season.
