Former Hilltopper Lucky Jackson reacts to recent XFL Honor

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Former WKU wide receiver, Lucky Jackson is dominating in the XFL, so far.

Jackson was recently named to the All-XFL Offensive Team after tallying 573 receiving yards on 36 catches with five touchdowns.

The former Hilltopper helped lead the DC Defenders to a North Division Championship and a league best 9-1 record.

“It’s a blessing,” Jackson said. “It’s been everything that I thought it would be. Just being able to get an opportunity to play football at a high level again is something that I always could see myself doing, and I put the work in for it. So, now that it’s all come to fruition. It’s just a blessing and I’m so grateful for, for being here and being able to play at a high level.”

Jackson even turned the heads of some NFL greats, like Chad Ochocinco when Lucky tallied two touchdown catches against Arlington back in April.

Ochocinco went to Twitter and said, “Lucky Jackson for DC is fire”.

Ochocinco also went on to say that he will see Jackson on Sundays.

“If you go back and look, when I responded, I gave it always like a full 24 hours just to kind of gather what I should say back,” Jackson said. “I was way overthinking it, but just being acknowledged by somebody like Chad Ochocinco and me being a receiver myself is just something that you dream of.”
