Beshear orders flags to half-staff in honor of Sandra Day O’Connor

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Andy Beshear has ordered that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff in honor of former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor.

This is set to last until sunset on Tuesday, Dec. 19.

According to a release by Beshear’s office, O’Connor was the first woman appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court.

She died on Dec. 1 at 93 years old.

Beshear encourages all individuals to take part in this tribute.
