Intersection safety improvement project begins in Warren County

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A project to improve the safety of the intersection located at U.S. 231 and Kentucky 622 Plano Road in Warren County is set to begin Monday, Dec. 18.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the project will add crosswalks to the northern approach of the intersection and on the KY 622 approach.

The intersection is also expected to have pedestrian signals and ADA-compliant sidewalks, officials say.

Motorists should be prepared for temporary lane closures during the day on Monday. In addition, officials say crews will work on sidewalk ramps during this time, and lane closures are possible other days of the week as well for further work.

The safety improvements are being added due to increasing commercial and residential growth in the area, according to officials.
