Attorney for Rene Boucher appeals judge’s decision
The attorney representing Rene Boucher, the man who tackled Senator Rand Paul, is appealing a judge’s decision that orders him to stay away from the senator and his family.
The motion was filed Monday by Boucher’s attorney, Matt Baker.
Special Judge Tyler Gill had issued that temporary injunction last month.
Boucher served 30 days on a federal charge of assaulting a Congressman after Paul was tackled outside his house last fall. Paul sued Boucher in state court.
Boucher is already under a federal order to have no contact with Paul. He must stay at least 200 feet away from the Pauls while Boucher is on his property and at least 50 feet away everywhere else.
