Western Kentucky University opens new research facility
A new research center at Western Kentucky University’s College of Health and Human Services officially opened its doors Tuesday.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the Center for Applied Science in Health and Aging.
It’s located at the WKU Center for Research Development on Nashville Road.
Western Kentucky University President Tim Caboni and others were on hand for the event.
By utilizing the new facility, students will address needs in the aging community by engaging in rigorous applied research through innovative education, partnerships and service.
The facility is the second center for applied research that has been established by the College of Health and Human Services in the past year.
The Center for Environmental and Workplace Health opened last November.
