Football Frenzy Game of the Week Preview: Warren East Raiders vs. Greenwood Gators
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Football Frenzy’s Game of the Week is at Barren County in a bowl game between the Greenwood Gators and Warren East Raiders.
The teams will kick off at 7:30 as the only game of the night after the second match was rescheduled for Saturday due to the heat.
In their first matchup of the season, the Raiders took on Daviess County in the J Allen Builders Bowl where they rushed for over 200 yards and forced 3 turnovers shutting out the Panthers, 24-to-0.
Warren East Head Coach Tanner Hall spoke on how the team is preparing for the hot conditions of Friday’s contest.
“You’re looking at a crosstown rival on a hot week where everybody’s having to adjust practice, so it makes things a little bit more entertaining,” Hall said. “Obviously, Greenwood does a great job. Coach Howard and Coach Adams over there do a great job getting their kids prepared. I know they’ve changed up practice times. You can see in here we’re in the practice gym trying to beat the heat. So, it’s gonna come down to who’s more hydrated and who’s more mentally prepared.”
