Tyler Hudson looks to put WKU Bass Fishing on the map

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU women’s volleyball coach Travis Hudson has two talented sons, Drew and Tyler, paving their own ways in their fields.

Tyler Hudson has most recently qualified for the Bassmaster College National Championship last month.

The three-day event features 130 teams from across the country with the field cut down to 12 on the final day.

“I always have liked fishing in any sense,” Tyler Hudson said. “But I kind of started taking up tournament bass fishing early in high school and I just love everything about it. It combines competitiveness with the bass fishing thing, and it’s been cool. I’m excited to go to this national tournament. I think it’s gonna help us really get our program out there and put us on the map a little bit.”
