Local resident receives wheelchair donation at NHRA Nostalgia Nationals
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – On Saturday, local resident Kent Madison received a wheelchair worth $40,000 as the recipient of the Darrell Gwynn Chapter of the Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis.
Darrell Gwynn won his first race at Beech Bend Raceway and wanted to give back to the community of Bowling Green. Kent Madison couldn’t believe the news when he received the call.
“I didn’t think it was real. I thought it was just another spa call or something like that, but it turned out being very real and I’m still a little star struck by it,” Madison said. “I’m still taking it all in and it’s been surreal.”
