JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. – The body of a missing man has been identified after authorities say he was found in Jessamine County last month.

According to the Kentucky State Police, DNA testing and medical records led to the positive identification of 52-year-old Breathitt “Bret” Kelley of Central City, Kentucky on Dec. 20.

The Jessamine County Sheriff’s Department received a report of an unidentified body on Nov. 16, according to the release. Authorities say they later received a call about a missing person out of Muhlenberg County on Nov. 27. At that time, authorities say Kelley had last spoken to his family about two months prior.

The sheriff’s department is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Kelley’s death. However, the Kentucky State Police says it believes that foul play is not suspected.
