Another animal found dead in Monroe County

Officials have confirmed another animal has been found dead in Monroe County. 

This report comes just days after three horses and other animals were found dead just outside of Tompkinsville.

This time, the animal was a calf and it happened less than a mile away from the previous deaths according to officials.

News Channel Five is reporting that the scene was not as bloody as the one involving the horses and the injuries appeared to be different as well. 

Sheriff Dale Ford says that it’s impossible to know if the killings are related but he felt it was important to inform the public with the attack due to the controversy surrounding the previous instances.

Officials did receive a report of a large cat sighting in the area however, there were no photos to confirm that, according to News Channel Five.
